Why are there shops, what’s in the shop and how do they work?

Shops are available for players to purchase various items and blocks to advance their gameplay, their experience, or allow a player’s creative side to flourish. The shops have a variety of different merchant types, all recognisable via their stalls and name tags. The merchants available are:

Item stock and their prices will change every hour across all vendors, so if you see something you like make sure to grab it!
What are player shops and how do they work?

Player shops allow players to sell to each other via specific NPCs, which can be located on the map. You can access this shop by punching the NPC to sell, or right click to open the shop and browse. To put an item up for sale, hold the chosen item in your hand and punch the NPC. Selling an item:
First, set the price of the item by typing in your chosen amount within the first anvil prompt (the brown box) and click on the name tag within the third slot to confirm your price.

Secondly, set the quantity of items that you would like to sell by typing into that same prompt and clicking on the name tag within the third slot to confirm your chosen quantity.

For example, if a player wanted to sell 4 strawberries for 5 dollars, the player would input the number 4, then 5. Items within player shops will remain in the store for three days before being removed from sale (if no one purchases them).
